2023 Area 61 Convention is returning to Newport, RI!!!

The Convention will be held on February 10-12, 2023 at the Marriott Newport, RI. The theme of the Convention is ‘Sober & Free in ’23’.

Events include:

        • speaker and marathon meetings(AA & Al Anon)
        • afternoon and evening entertainment
        • hospitality rooms
        • yoga and meditation workshops
        • sobriety countdown
        • great fellowship

More parking at the nearby Municipal Parking Lot: Spaces may be limited. Park your car in the lot and get on a trolley to travel throughout town worry-free. 8AM-12AM. Additional parking options are being explored.

Convention Scholarships Available

The Convention Committee, through the generosity of the Area 61 membership, is making available a limited number of Convention Scholarships to the 2023 Area 61 Convention via a lottery system.  A Convention Scholarship is a Registration fee paid to the Registrar in the name of a scholarship recipient or granted to an applicant out of the scholarship funds that give that recipient total access to all meetings for the entire weekend.  These scholarships are intended for those individuals who would not otherwise be able to attend the Convention.
