What does Area 61’s Delegate do?
- Represents Area 61 at the annual meeting of the GSC by carrying the group conscience of Area 61’s groups to the GSC.
- Communicates: Down the triangle by bringing Area concerns, agenda items, and questions to the GSC; and up the triangle by reporting back to the Area on GSC decisions and discussions.
- Informs by sharing information about AA’s Twelve Traditions and Twelve Concepts; helping groups understand the general service structure and GSC processes; and encouraging participation in general service.
The Delegate does NOT govern AA groups. The Delegate’s role is advisory and representative, grounded in group conscience, and guided by AA’s Traditions and Concepts.

Here you will find items related to the meeting of the 2026 General Service Conference, which took place in New York City April 25-May 2, 2026
- Lists of the Advisory Actions passed by the 76th General Service Conference as well as Committee Considerations are available. The Final Conference Report will be available digitally around the end of August. A limited number of hard copies will be available approximately six weeks later.
