Grapevine Podcast: Planting Seeds [Season 11, Episode 16]

Rito tells Don and Sam that he played the blame game in prison — everyone else was at fault for him being locked up. He did go to AA meetings while doing time because they had coffee and donuts, and that’s where the seeds of recovery were planted. Now 34 years sober, Rito tries to plant the seeds of recovery in others, in prison and outside the walls. Even if the seeds don’t take root, Rito stays sober. In A Newcomer Asks there’s an anonymous question about downloading the apps from AA: Grapevine, Everything AA and Meeting Guide. In Using the Traditions in Our Lives Jeffrey, Antonio and Andrew share about Tradition 10: “Alcoholics Anonymous has no opinion on outside issues; hence the AA name ought never be drawn into public controversy.” Stay tuned after sign off for bonus Listener Feedback from Bee, Carl and Roger.
