We’re excited to announce the launch of Area 61’s Grapevine Library Project, a community-driven initiative aimed at bringing Alcoholics Anonymous’ Grapevine and La Viña magazines, books, and resources to public libraries across Rhode Island. By participating in this project, you’ll help raise awareness about these invaluable resources, which offer support, inspiration, and shared experiences for those on the path to recovery.

What We Need From You:

We’re looking for dedicated AA members to volunteer and deliver an informational packet about Grapevine and La Viña to their local libraries. This is a simple but impactful way to spread the message of AA and connect more people to these vital tools for recovery.

How It Works:

  1. Fill Out the Volunteer Form
    Simply complete this form
  2. Get Assigned Libraries
Once you’ve signed up, a member of the Grapevine Committee will contact you and assign specific libraries within the cities you select.
  3. Attend the Library Project Open House
You’ll be invited to pick up your informational materials at our Library Project Open House. We’ll provide all the guidance you need to approach library staff and answer any questions you may have. Can’t make it to the open house? No problem—we’ll arrange an alternate pickup time.

Library Project Open House Details:

  • Location: AA Area Office – 2845 Post Rd, Warwick, RI
  • Option 1: Sunday, September 14 – 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Join us in this exciting opportunity to help extend the reach of AA’s powerful resources. Your involvement will make a difference in communities across Rhode Island.
